CISV Southern California is a developing chapter within CISV USA, a 501(c)3 charitable organization, and was founded in 2019 by a diverse group of individuals originating from around the world. The chapter, fully run by volunteers, encompasses new and long-time CISVers that seek to “educate and inspire action for a more just and peaceful world.”
Activities and events currently hosted by our chapter include:
Junior Branch (JB): The backbone of our chapter, all members of CISV SoCal ages 10–25 are automatically part of the Junior Branch. The JB is run by their own Junior Board. Events include various on-going activities in alignment with CISV’s mission statement as well as mini camps throughout the year.
Minicamps: An annual weekend camp open to all kids ages 10+ (members and non-members), organized and run by the Junior Branch. This camp is a great opportunity to try out camp-life and make friendships from your local area!
Delegations: Our chapter is sending members to join traveling delegations from the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter to various international camps in the summer and winter. For more information, see Programs.
